Vomit & Holy Suffering

Never  forget the pit you were in! The depravity you once lived in was so bad that the suffering it took to get you out of it is like vomit.

Remember when you swore you'd never go back to that lifestyle again? The moment that you turned from darkness to light and felt God's love embrace you was the day you understood Grace.

Sometimes when you think about the past, tears of joy mixed with regret from past choices crash down your face.  Often God's relentless love and grace can feel overwhelming.

God has forgiven you. Make sure you forgive yourself.

However, as time goes by and you mature in your faith, you might not notice that you're getting lazy. Some of the old sins creep back in.

The devil doesn't announce when he's coming. He's got all the time in the world to wait for the opportunity to get his foot back in the door. He's mastered patience.

Then just when you think you're done with that old sin he bites back with a vengeance. It's at this point when God allows holy suffering to come upon us.

Suffering brings us back to God. Suffering helps us to remember the vomit we came out of.

Suffering refines us. Suffering hurts.

Once you are back out of the flames of the holy suffering, don't ever forget where you came from. Don't ever forget the holy suffering.

Every time you decide to give into temptation and go back to your vomit, The flames get hotter.

God loves you. He knows the value of your soul. He will not lift his hand from you until you've had enough suffering and are reaching out to him again to be rescued.

Don't forget the life that you used to live and what Jesus did on the cross for you.

The devil is a venomous snake and he can't wait to bite you.

There's no smooth sailing in this life.

We May have times of peace and times of calamity but always be on your guard or the devil will have at you.

Be encouraged, because Jesus is returning one day and YOU WIN!JESUS has already overcome the world.

You know the end of your story and you know the end of the devil's story. So press on and fight the good fight.
